• Remove degraded polymeric sand or filler

• Keep surfaces clean through late fall and early winter

• Relocate grills, planters, or furniture to prevent stress cracks from freeze expansion

• Cut back overhanging limbs that may drop snow or ice on surfaces

Use Safe Tools & Deicers

• Avoid metal shovels; use rubber or plastic edges
• Do not use salt or chloride deicers on sealed surfaces
• Use sand, calcium magnesium acetate, or pet-safe alternatives

Manage Drainage

• Check that gutters and downspouts direct water away from hardscape
• Ensure no standing water is present before freezing conditions
